Kingsford Church of Christ

While the object of our worship and the content of our teaching are timeless, we aim to make the style and format of our worship and fellowship relevant to today's generation, and accessible to people who live in today's culture.

God has blessed us with a fellowship representing many nations from most continents. We see this as a great strength and evidence - in a small way - of the unity the Christ can bring us.

We believe, with the writer to the Hebrews, that "In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe" (NIV).
This revelation by God, through the prophets and through his Son, is recorded for us in the Bible, which has been preserved for us by God. We take it as our primary source for understanding Him and while we accept that other teachings (such as by Church Fathers or modern theologians) are quite valuable, they must always be secondary and subordinate to the teachings of the Bible.

Again from Hebrews: "The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word" (NIV). As such he deserves the place of greatest importance in our lives, and we find fullness in life only by focusing on him.
Our church motto reads: To Know Christ and to Make Him Known.

In the context of the above, we are a community, sharing our lives, supporting and encouraging each other, growing together to be more like our Lord.
