I'm new to sydney, and was wondering what style of worship is offered by your church, and whether it was a particular denomination?

Hi Jak,

Welcome to Sydney, we hope you enjoy your stay.

What is our style of worship?

We try to keep our worship contemporary and relevant while remaining firmly Christ-focussed and biblically based. People often describe us as a very friendly church and we a generally fairly relaxed and easy going.

We sing a variety of songs both recent and traditional, accompanied by a band that varies from week to week, usually with some selection from piano, keyboard, drum-kit, guitars (acoustic and electric) and assorted percussion.

Sharing the "Lord's Supper" (aka communion, the bread and the cup, etc) is a central part of our worship each week with a different member of the church presiding each week.

We pray, we read the bible, we have a teaching message, again with different members of the church contributing in different weeks, though our Team Leader (aka Pastor, aka Minister) delivers the message most weeks

Are we a particular denomination?

Our church is a member of the Churches of Christ in Australia. All member churches are autonomous but generally agree on certain principles of doctrine which are firmly bible-based.
